Actually if someone has more sleep paralysis than me, then I would be at ease.
I have a serious problem with sleep paralysis and it occurs 3 days a week and sometimes more.
I found out that taking Melatonin helps preventing sleep paralysis at a certain degree. If I take 2 pills before sleeping, I don't have any problem. It usually occurs around 3-4 am.

Yes...its rather hellish. And yet, I know that it can be resolved naturally. You have to remove all the caffeine, nicotine and alcohol and the foods with MSG that are neurotoxins. Also, do a basic liver/bowel cleanse....all these things helped me tremendously. Paralysis free for several years.

I have-it's pretty cool and disturbing all at the same time.

Mostly, I float, everything feels really surreal, I feel like I'm awake but I can't move...sometimes there is a black shadow or presence near or "attacking" me...and then I shake myself awake somehow...usually I try to move my foot, hand or head to snap out of it... My bf says I don't move a muscle or make any sounds... but sometimes, when I'm having a scary "episdode" I lay there and scream at him to wake me up...but of course, I'm really asleep-so he hears nothing... Quite freaky!

Mine is caused from stress and sleep deprivation.

I did once. I felt like I was awake, but I couldn't move. I tried calling out to someone, but I couldn't talk. I was so scared when that happened that I was afraid to go to sleep for a long time.

Yeah i have and it's b/c you wake up during the middle of one of ur deepest phases of sleep and ur body is paralyzed so we wouldn't act out our dreams and get hurt.

I think it's pretty cool when i wake up like that i try to move but the only thing i could move is my head

Yes. It happened to me regularly through middle and high school...occasionally in college. I just kinda grew out of it. I am not sure I can offer advice on how to prevent it....but you are not alone.
