hes definitely old enough at 14 months, all it is is flavored water with electrolytes, think of pedialyte, thats for babies. if you give your baby juice than he should be able to handle gatorade.

In my opinion the baby should be ready for gatorade right now, but don't you think juice would be healthier for the little one?
When my kids were very young and they had been sick, we started them back to eating a normal diet on gatorade first. If your kid is sick right now, gatorade is an excellent drink to get their system going again. Other than that, I would not give them gatorade as part of a normal diet.
Do what you want though, its your kid!!

Never! You shouldn't be giving Gatorade to a baby at all! There is way too much sugar for a baby. You could give the poor kid the runs! Give him water, juice cut with water, milk or pedialite.
Gatorade is for grown-ups and athletes.

You can give them any type of juice at that age, just water it down first. Juices contain too much sugar to not water it down for a toddler.

Don't you think that this is one of those questions best asked of a pediatrician?
