If you haven't torn a muscle or a ligament, perhaps you have bruised it. NOT all bruises are visible. Some people also have 'growing pains', believe it or not. Regardless, if there doesn't seem to be any obvious reason for it and you are hurting badly, see your doctor, and soon.

You don't give us enough information. What were you doing when you hurt it? Playing sports? Walking? Running? Lifting weights? Kicking somebody? Somebody kick you?
