and to claire p...
an autistic person has difficulties with social interaction, imagination and communication...main point being they find it extremely hard if not impossible to form meaningful relationships.
Chances are i will not have grandchildren so an opinion like yours will seem to myself and others in the same situation slightly unimportant

Afraid to say that your child can attend school without having the MMR. Unfortunately, this is why there are so many cases of measles in the country at the moment. So far this year we have had more than twice the number that we had in the whole of last year.

So, to those parents who do not vaccinate your children, when your grandchildren are born with deformities because of reubella, cannot have children because they had mumps, or get measles and have major problems (one child has died of measles this year), blame yourself. Not us - we had our children vaccinated.

sorry for the rant but it's something I feel strongly about.

Why not have the MMR? There are still people getting these infectious diseases. It is better to get the MMR vaccine. It doesnt hurt you but does protect you.

Usually, no. There are certain exceptions though. You'd have to talk to the school nurse or call the district office to find out if you have a question about it. Most children have to have it.

as far as i know they can,as its your choice if your kids have the MMR,there is no wrong or right.although my kids have had theirs because i thought the benefits outweighed the negatives.

It may be possible to get an exemption. Check the rules for your state.

I don't believe so. I believe that that is a requirement for entry.
