Well - I couldn't care less about the Christian agenda, but I do get pissed off when people try to hurt other people just for believing something that they do not. Athiests on this site often use arguments just as flawed as the ones the Christians are using, are derrogatory, and mock others simply for Believing something. Since Christians are generally too nice to mock them back, I'll stick up for the underdog from time to time and slap an idiot down.

Some people Will stop shooting at you once you start shooting at them.
Some only understand harshness. Maybe you haven't been here long enough to see some of the vile remarks some of these lost souls can make. I am nice when they are.
But I am like Peter in the garden-I will grab the sword when necessary.

I think you have to tell the truth in love but sometmes straight up is the best way and people may take it that way. It depends on how the question is asked and the maturity of the believer and weither or not they are stuck in a web of legalism. This is why Love is the greatest command ....Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. I think we need to review this lots.

I think that some people feel like they need to "lead the lost" as they would lead a dog - when I think the point is to lead by example. Good question!
Peace!

2 Corinthians 9:13 says, "Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else."
Indeed, we should be careful to be loving and united, so that others will praise God.
Oh, just an aside: I was addressing those who throw insults and whatsnot at unbelievers. It is important that you mention the truth, and only the truth... even if it means revealing to the person the consequences of turning away from the truth.

I believe that some of these people believe that they have reached the highest good that humans are capable of attaining, in that they are saved by grace. However, they have NOT reached the highest good yet, as their character shows. Instead of working on their own character and ridding themselves of hatred and rudeness, they seek souls of others. But they will gain no souls to Christ like this, in my opinion. Instead, if they would work on their own characters, they would win more to Christ.

The lions are only metaphorical here, you may be your right though it does seem that it's the Christians trying to do more of the throwing; but they never score points because they can't be rational or logical.

They are blinded by their faith to the point that people who have no knowledge whatsoever of what they believe in, become all the more turned off.

when someone tries to speak to you about life and death and wether you are going to heaven and hell what would catch your attention faster? Someone being sweet and tip toeing around it or someone who says point blank. Plus you have to remember god is a loving god but he if you have ever read a bible you would know that when someone did wrong he would have them punished and he has also tested his disciples faith by putting them through tests.
