Just wondering what that I can put on her or how to treat her with the pups. I have found several ticks on the pups and the momma. I pull them off but they keep getting more. What can I do.

I guess I really made it sound worse than it really is. I have only found 2 ticks on the puppies and I have been able to get the ticks off of the momma dog. But our yard is very bad with ticks it is every year. But the momma dog had her puppies before we had a chance to treat the yard this year. The ticks are not so bad that anyone would think the dogs are not being taken care of. I am just concerned about the ticks and wanted to know if there was anything I could use to treat the momma dog with. But thanks for all your concern.

well you can't use advantage on 9 day old pups, also it doesn't kill ticks. i would use revolution (which kills ticks you can find in 4 days) on the mom dog and move her and the puppies somewhere inside with new blankets and bedding. and when bringing the pups in check each one for ticks and remove, please don't burn them off you may burn your pups. with tweezers grab the tick right at the base and gently pull it out, one lady i know says twisting slowy while pulling works even better. flush them down the toliet and wash your hands. keep an eye on the pups for any odd behaviour which could indicate lyme disease and when they are old enough i would keep them all on revolution and make sure they get vaccinated for lyme :)

Talk to a vet. Keep the pet inside away from ticks. Wash the bedding in hot water or throw it away and get new bedding for the puppy. You really cant use anything on a 9 day old puppy. Make sure you pull of all the ticks. Use vaseline to suffocate the ticks so they back out of the puppies body and then use tweezers to get the ticks off.

I dont think, i know you have to go to the vet. if you dont the ticks will suck all the energy from the momma dog and then she wont be able to feed her pups. If you cant afford the vet, then probably give the dog's to someone who can. It will be the best thing. I think the pups may not be able to survive because they are too young to be treated with tick control and other tick products. Good Luck!

Put the dogs in the house away from where the ticks are. Puppys are to young to use a tick control

I agree, sprinkly 7 dust around the outside the dog house. This will keep the ticks from getting on the momma dog, and she won't spread them to the puppies. Good luck.

Here's something to use on all of the doggies.
Go out and buy some Suave lavender shampoo or some lavender oil. For the oil dump some in a bath tub of water and get the dogs covered in the oil/water. Ticks should die.
With the shampoo, bathe each. Ticks again should die. Also works for fleas.

They are probably the same ones, You are probably just pulling the body off and leaving the head inbedded in them. You need to take a cigarette or a fire stick that you get to lite fireworks with and lite it up and burn the ticks butt. They will pull their head out of the skin and then you need to grab them and put them in an ashtray and burn them with a piece of paper. Light the paper on fire. That is the only way to kill them.

Seperate them from the ticks. Do not pull them off, unless you are doing it probably. Take them to the vet IMMEDIATELy! Or else, the animal police could seize them.

Ivomec will poison the puppies, as it will be in mom's milk and on her skin. This remedy isn't fun, and will take some time, but you can use a flea comb, dip it in Listerine, and comb through mom's coat...dip and comb, etc.. It may take an hour, depending on the size of mom, but it will be worth it. You can safely use a flea comb on the pups as well. It might be easier to scissor clip the mom's hair as you go.
