I agree 100%.

I was living just outside Philadelphia when 9/11 happened. I had several friends and family members in NYC - one of which we lost (a 30 year old brother in law who was giving a speech on the top floor of the building at a conference). It was only a stroke of luck that kept my own husband out of NYC that day.

At that point we got a glimpse of the kind of horror that the civilians in the middle east have been suffering - explosions in restaurants, schools, hospitals, temples - it is mind numbing. I caught my heart in my throat for weeks after 9/11 everytime I heard an airplane or helicopter over head (we lived near and Air Force base). I have little children of my own - and my heart goes out to the families that must live through the violence.

What is so upsetting to me about the war in Iraq is that it feels unnecessary to me. We stormed into Afghanistan, hot on the heels of those who had done us wrong and liberated a community that had been terrorized by the Taliban for years. We had reacted to tragedy decisively and with class - in myopinion - helping others along the way. It felt great to be American.

Then this stuff with Iraq - I mean, lots of people say that Saddam Hussein is a terrible man, and that maybe. But we don't really have a right to bomb the crap out of another country (out of another group of people) just because their leader doesn't do things as we do, do we? The war on Terror had become a horror. I watched, dumbfounded, as we bombed the living daylight out of that civilization.

If we feel that we have a right to bomb other because we disagree with their leaders, then we are being repaid in kind when they bomb us because they don't agree with ours.

True, a lot of lives are being ended or disrupted in war-torn Iraq. Just like many of our fellow Americans lives drastically changed, or ended on September 11th. If we lived in a perfect world, I would say that the war is wrong. But as we know this world is far from perfect. Mistakes are made on a daily basis on all sides. I live about 30 miles from where the plane went down in the field in Shanksville PA. Memories of that terrible day will be burnt into my memory until the day I die. I lost a friend when the World Trade Center was brought down. He had no political agenda, he had no plans of world domination, yet he, and thousands of others were among the first casualties of this war. It was not a war where we all just sat at home and watched things unfold on foreign soil. This war was brought to us by the cowardly terrorists who hate us simply because of the freedom we as Americans enjoy on a daily basis.

Should we still be in Iraq now that Saddam has been found. Well, as we see on a daily basis, that country has not been liberated. We are now at the point where at times our brave fighting men and women can't tell the difference between the good, and bad people. If you ask me, I think we should give the people of Iraq the "tools, and knowlege" to attain a free democratic country, so that its citizens do not have to fear being killed simply by walking the streets of their hometowns. Then we should remove our troops, and allow the people of Iraq to do what they feel is best for their own country. We should leave them alone, but inform them if they revert back to terroristic activity, or harbor terrorists, justice will be brought to them swiftly, and and compleatly. We will not send troops, we will only send a coupple bombs.

War is hell. The first rule of war is people will die. It is rather hard to accept that, but it can not be changed. But if that is the price that must be paid to keep this country, and the rest of the world free of terroristic activity, It must be done.

All we really can do is pray for the poor lost soles of the innocent victoms, pray that there will be no more innocent lives lost, and most importantly we must Pray for Peace.

I feel this war is out of control causing more damage than good. This isn't a typical war like WWII where a country surrenders and all is well. Terriorism will never go away. Its like fighting a forest fire with a garden hose. You might kill some terrorists but there is a bunch of people that still hate us. We need to bring the troops home and to guard our country's borders. Tighten up security here not in Iraq. I am for our troops and I wish they were treated more fairly. More families now are in shambles. Children that no longer have a mommy or daddy because of this. It is disturbing.

Compare this war with any other,All people in a war zone will always be at risk I am not saying war is good it is not but good will come from it ,
Our own history proves good can come from war . When good prevails. When good turns its back evil will flourish
What I would like to know is why don't the people we are helping help us more ,this fight is for them, was living under Saddam in a house better? Sacrifice of the few for the greater good of the many. "innocent" I don't know if there are any,
