They are taught from an early age to blame the women in their lives for their short-comings. Ta Da!. There you have it.

Sister, I've noticed the same thing, but not with any religious or spiritual connotation. I believe it has more to do with society, and its expectations of men.

In our society (U.S.A. here), men aren't expected to show weakness or doubts. If they started thinking about these things, it might lead to talking about them, and then "all the other men would make fun of them, and the women would think they were wimps."

So I think it's basically a matter of image -- they believe it's better to APPEAR to be secure and whole than to do the self-improvement work it takes to actually BE that way. JMO.

I guess, in a way, there's no point for men (bar shaving and maybe hair) to look in a mirror. 'Cause us men can't wear makeup with out being called gay (I can't really imagine any man with makeup apart from those over-the-top celebrities)

cause (many-not all of course) men don't really give a crap about what people think of them, they do what they want.

also, men don't change outfits 50 times before they go out.

Because men aren't as self-criticizing as females. We don't worry as much about what others think of us. What you see is what you get.

i have no idea. i wish i knew! my guess is that because they've been socialized differently, they have learned to trust that they're always right. and they act accordingly. if that makes sense.

it's not that it's hard, it's just that they don't care as much as women most of the time.
