I started smoking at 16 I am now 31 and i still need ID to get alcohol.I live in UK you only have to be 18 to get beer, So I personally think it does not age skin. But i will say i gave up in Oct 2005 and i do feel more healthy and the smell of a smoker makes me GAG,,

Smoking puts smoke and pollution and toxins right up to your skin and that causes it to age faster, you can however use skin care products that will replenish and protect your face from all pollutants in the air, if you want to check out my website feel free to do so!

Your body must replenish the elastin and collagen in your skin to keep it young looking. Smoking causes your body to concentrate on healing your lungs rather than working on those genetically "optional" activities. Your skin really DOES age much faster ... as do your teeth, organs, bones ...

Seriously? Do you want a cats bum mouth cause of smoking? I think not! Quit now and your body will thank you for it. The smoke chemicals get into the cells in your body and damage them I think. The mouth gets old and wrinkly from having to hold a cigarette. QUIT NOW!

Probably has something to do with making your skin dehydrated, women have a higher bodily water content then men so probably a bigger difference. Just a speculation

It makes you look older it dries up the skin and a mixture of smoking and alcohol makes one's face look like old leather.

It definitely does age the skin in both sexes, they are always more wrinkled round the eyes than non-smokers.
