After reading some of these answers it is clear I wont get a straight answer from the athiests. Deny, deny, deny, or projection. Not a one of them will even admit the hatred exists.

still no good answers yet, only rhetoric and atheistic dogma. Hopefully someone will use a little more thought and insight, and not the usual atheist drivel like most of the answers so far. Saying atheists dont hate christians is a lie, and thats all there is to it.

Whoa!!! Great question.
Not an Atheist nor a Christian but I believe it is how you christians impose your beliefs on others simply because of this: You take symbology too literally. Most of you all dont take the time to investigate "WHAT or HOW" you are being program to believe. There is no right or wrong way to believe..WE HAVE PERSPECTIVE.God doesn't judge. You cannot make God angry -The divine is the creator of emotions what makes you think it can't CONTROL it. There is a God within every vibrating substance.
Religions confuses these ppl even more and bring them even FURTHER AWAY FROM THE TRUTH!!!!!!.
There would NOT be any atheists in this world today if it wasn't for ppl using religion or divine knowledge to control the masses.
Just my opinion.

I can tell by the way you worded your question that you just like to stir up people and cause discussions to get hotter.
I think that most atheists don't give a hoot about christians or any other religious folk, except when those people get all pushy, and start telling them what they need to believe. You are mistaking annoyance for hate. Hate is 'way to strong a word for the way most others feel about pushy religious salesmen.

This I know about as I have been a practicing athiest for more than 30 years. The answer is, we don't. Unfortunately, like in every "group," there are the zealots who are not happy unless they make everyone else unhappy and in their camp, so to speak.
I, as an athiest, believe everyone has the right to worship or not whom or whatever they choose. Just don't force it on me. I don't care if there is prayer in school as long as it isn't forced on alall; I don't care if there are mangers in Christmas displays, in fact, I kind of miss them. Get my gist? We're not all like those publicity-seeking, lawsuit making, attention-seeking athiest zealots...some of us are just like you, in most ways. The old "rotten apple" proverb applies here. Hope this helps.

I don't hate christians; most of my family and friends happen to be christians. But I have not forgotten, and will not forget, all the hateful things done in the name of christianity and other religions. Nor will I stand by and allow atheists to be unjustly smeared by questions like this one, or see the rights of non-christians trampled by those who would make their religion part and parcel of our government.

THEY DON'T! It's just gay when u got these christian's sayin that u r all bad n **** cuz u don't go to church. Pushing the bible on people isn't a way to make them love god. That is bull ****! WHY R CHRISTIANS SO JUDGE MENTAL? IS WHAT I WANNA KNOW! not sayin u r, cuz i don't know u. And i'm not saying all christians r like that but come on now, most of them are. u can't force christianity into someone. that is what pushes them away. Believe me, i honestly am pritty much athiest myself. It's the person's personall choice.

Now come on. That's just mean. We don't hate you guys, we just don't like the fact that you have to stick your noses in our business and try and shove your religion down our throats. We are SO NOT jealous. What kind of crap is that? We don't need imaginary beings to use as a crutch in our lives. We can deal with problems on our own rather than have to blame **** on someone that isn't really there. We do something wrong we don't go blaming it on some 'devil'....oops...devil made me do it! that's crap. maybe if you stopped being so pushy with us it wouldn't seem like we hate you.
