A better question is WHY are we in Iraq? 65% of Iraqis don't want us there. Plus a MAJORITY of Americans don't want us there either. I thought in a Democracy, the gov't obeyed the will of the people, but I guess Bush pretty much goes his own way. Way to go, Mr Democracy. Why don't you just get out of office and go back to school and learn the true meaning of A gov't for the people and BY the people?

No - the overriding justification for staying in Vietnam was to stop the spread of communism, and let a free people remain free.
Iraq is a totally different situation.

Maybe not same words, same meaning though.
If we leave Iraq oil will go up again and Bush will look like he can't get the job done.

basicaly yes, and look what pulling out of Vietnam did all of southeast asia minust Thailand is communist and just after the pullout like a million people were killed by "purges" and thousands more died at sea trying to run away.
