No it isn't. It isn't safe for anyone else either! This is not a "water diet" this is starvation. This is the worst thing you can do for your body. If you want to lose weight, start taking walks every day for 30 minutes and don't snack at night, this will help alot. Ask your mom or somebody to get a exercise dvd for you on line, something you can pick out that you really like, like kickboxing, aerobic dancing, or something like this. Tell her you want to exercise at home and ask if she'll let you do this. Otherwise start taking walks after dinner, see if she'll go with you?
If you eat a good breakfast, cereals(not sugar coated) fruits, a good lunch, some kind of a sandwich, and a good dinner, you'll be fine. If you cut way back on snacks you'll lose too. Try to stay away from these things: cheeses, sweet treats, soda's , fast food, fried foods. For your snacks try to eat things that aren't real sugary or greasy, hope this helps some........No water diet! There is no such thing! Trust me, I'm a fitness director.

I dont think it matters what age you are, but I think this would not really be recommended. Why don't you just drink as much water as you can (people say at least 8 glasses per day, so why not just drink as much as possible). I ate my usual diet, just that I cut out rice that's all. I lost about 14kg (30lb) in less than 6 months this way, so it has worked for me. The logic is that the more water you drink, the more you go to the loo (whether big job or small job), and that's where the weight comes off. (The weight comes off much easier if you eat fruits). But don't ignore exercise, and you know that for exercise you need to eat, right?

No, this is not safe for you or anyone else. Everyone needs the nutrients, vitamins, and fiber, and protein that foods offer us. Eliminating food and eating less can actually slow your metabolism causing your body to store more fat because it thinks its in starvation mode. visit a nutritionist in your area and ask her to help you find a sensible eating plan to reach your nutritional goals. you are 13 and still growing. give your body what it needs to reach its potential for good health. you need all of these nutrients, etc, to build a good immune system also. drink water throughout the day to keep yourself hydrated, but don't live on it. you will be doing more harm than good if you go on a water diet. just exercise and eat healthy, nutrient dense, high fiber, fruits and vegies and eat lean protein, and dairy.

unless the 13-yr old is under doctor's care, this seems extreme to me. Just eat good balance diet, exercise (go for brisk walk 30 minutes everyday), drink 6-8oz of water daily with food.

here's some info- DON'T!!! this diet is quite dangerous. the only way you can get healthy is to eat and exercise. both rev up your metabolism, but one doesn't work without the other. and throw those cosmo magazines out--those women are even surprised when they see what the people at the magazine have done to their pictures. get healthy- not skinny! take it from me, i used to be anorexic...boys want women who have curves and meat on their bones!!! and teenagers should never diet without a meal plan that has been evaluated by a nutritionist. you could stunt your growth...and i don't just mean your height!!

that's unhealthy..when you don't eat your body holds on to all the calories and fat that you want to loose because there is nothing else to eat. so don't do it not only is it unsafe but you are only 13. Unless you were told by a doctor that its OK don't do it. I'm also trying to lose weight but i am actually working out and on a diet.
You should do the same :)--Good Luck.

You already have some good advice given. I didn't eat for three days recently, but I was in the hospital...
For a thirteen y.o., probably tricky as others have said.
What's your hurry? Summer? Bikinis?
Be safe...There is no perfect woman/teen. All the ladies are beautiful!!

NO!!! not safe at all & no real doctor would tell you to go on it.
diets are easy. eat less calories then your body need & you will lose weight. no gimmick diet will keep the pounds off, only sensible eating will. no easy magical diet fix.

Do not do it. This is unsafe. Don't eat seconds and cut out potatoe chips but do not do this. Talk to your Mom or Dad.
