It would be great as long as it were kept civil! A room full of people with totally different views would only end up arguing on which one is right! It's so sad to see the different denominations where their only goal is to prove their way of understanding the Bible is the only way. It's trivial to argue over what :God's" name is, What day is "The Sabbath" Some only get as far as "Members Not Allowed to Smoke" but they have a pot of stimulant brewing in the kitchen where they all head! Some think that "certain males" in the church cannot be married, but when a young boy is molested they just transfer the guilty person to another location! To me that is not how God intended his children to behave. And none of those topics have any baring on whether or not a person goes to heaven or is condemned to hell! What it does is cause a division and prevents people from learning the truth and serving God as He had intended for us to do.

I doubt it. A lot of people with strong religious views simply do not respect the beliefs of others. They may have a lot of knowledge, but without the respect it's going to become a constatn stream of arguing. I've seen plenty of that on some of the boards I've been on, and no side has a monopoly on it.
If you see someone on here who you really respect, who gives answers that are not only knowledgeable but also respectful and helpful, you'd probably do better to contact them directly through Yahoo and chat via Yahoo Messenger or other means.

I think that's a bad idea because for some bizarre reason, people of different religions can't hold a conversation without an agrument.....even though when it's all said and done, we worship the same God.

Sister, what a WONDERFUL idea!
I just found this area of Yahoo!, and I am SO enjoying some of the wonderful questions & answers here. It's a pleasure to interact with people who aren't shy about talking about God and sharing their religious beliefs. :)

Yikes! At least we couldn't throw things at each other! I think it would be fun, count me in. I'm sure there's a way to set that up, but someone with more tech. savvy than me will have to do it!
