I have to put a new catalytic converter, and fuel pump regulator on it, and the mechanic says he'll do it for $800 something dollars

the 2 door coupe(base model) blue book value is $900.00 in good condition. It may not be worth putting $800.00 into a $900.00 car. especially with high milage.

No. At best, it would be worth $600 in a private party sale given the amount of maintenance needed.

Umm that mechanic is seriously ripping you off. And you can probably find a newer year for about $900

cat converterr at magic muffler is 150.00 fuel pump is not that big of deal, max300.00 for both

You should put it on eBay and see what you can get for it. On eBay you usually get more then what you are asking for it,. If you get it fixes then you can possible sell it for more then what you are asking for now. Good luck.
