There is a rumor that i like this guy and we are dating. But the catch is that it is true we are dating! i just want this relationship to be private! how do i deal with this?

tell the guy to help you announce that you arent dating. and then after a few days meet each other secretly or in a friendsly matter (not just hanging out as if just friends)

According to the "American Heritage College Dictionary" the definition for rumor is "a piece of unverified information of uncertain origin usually spread by word of mouth." Since you just verified the information, it is no longer a rumor. Can't help wondering why you want this to be private. Sounds like you are trying to shut the barn door after the horse got out.

What do you have to hide? Is it a mutual relationship or is there some other reason you are trying to hide your relationship. Having a relationship is hard to hide because one day you are going to be seen together in an uncompromising position. Weather it be kissing or holding hands. I would not say either here or there about the rumor. If someone asks simply just tell them to use their imagination.

You don't have to keep it a secret. As long as you don't display public affection it is private. If someone asks you about it then just say "its between me and him" and then leave.

why would you want your relationship to be a secret, usually if it has to be a secret then there is something wrong. Is he way older then you, married, or are you just embarrassed of him?? Or maybe you young and your parents don't like him.
