I believe that we are. We have gotten fed up with the way the country is being run. Many, myself included, are fed up with the way illegal immigrants are mollycoddled by our government. They break laws and are given rewards for it. They paid little, if any into our economy or taxes, and yet they are allowed to use and abuse our tax-paid programs, which WE paid for. Then they SEND money back to their homelands, taking revenue AWAY from the USA. That money is GONE from our country's economy, it's not revenue for the USA. It is revenue for THAT country. Americans are beginning to see what is going on. Many still need to open their eyes and pay attention.
I have written my congressmen and senators and I have signed petitions. I talk to my neighbors, friends and family and it really surprises me that some of them are not aware of what is going on. I guess they think it is just a Southwestern problem, not everybody's problem. When I talk to them and point out things they hadn't took the time to notice, then they start paying attention. I have noticed some companies I call on the phone only have one button to push now, for Spanish, otherwise they get English. Small step, but it's a start. Bigger things need to happen, we can't stop fighting for the rights of the American citizens in the USA and to abolish the injustices our leaders have put on us.

We won't know how we are doing until the final bills are past accross the nation - nationally there are over 500, and what comes out of this Congress.
Until they become responsible, and by the current bill they have, they will extinguish the American citizen, and in it's place by equality of no citizen rights we must all then be citizens.
The fight to stay American is only in it's infancy. Come November, if we can get the illegal vote out of the system, either there will be a Congress that represents the People of the United States, or there will be the green light for all manners and desires for any hate group to come out of the closet we know of. Civil militias may eventually come into it to keep America American.
Only time will tell. Are we that far away from our forefathers to fracture America at home and the international stage? Or, as the US census states, in a few decades or so there will be 3 times more hispanic population in America than all others combined, so we can start early handing them over our country and government?
Military Mom: Good point, this is a real test of what the American people are really worth at home. And as for your suggestion of reseach, here's my list which is always growing:

In the Internet age I think people believe that their voices can be heard better. We have more access to email address of our representatives. It was the people who stopped the Arabs from port security and the people who got the government realizing illegal immigration is not except able. That is the way it is supposed to be. We the people! I will say this though sometimes people see things in a very different way than the government. We don't spend everyday dealing with all the issues. Once in a while they actually do know more than we do and are in a better position to make the call. I would suggest when you contact your governing officials you do your research first. People need to be careful what they ask for not all things are black and white. I don't see that happening though it would take to much work when it would just be easier to click the email button and complain.

I am talking back to people to people on this site that blame everything in the world on illegal immigrants. I dont mind the things that you listed above. They are all about living in a multi-cultural society. Whether the people using those services are legal or not, they are beneficial to all of us.
