Drugs for Add are a bad joke. They don't work long term...in fact, they screw your brain up far more than before you start taking them.
Remove processed food, especially artificially sweetened products and those with food coloring. Make sure you also stay away from wheat and dairy since these two foods have been known to cause inflammatory issues, even in the brain. Take a good fish oil (Carlson's, or Nordic Naturals), a good vitamin (not CENTRUM! see why: www.centrumistoxic.com), and start eating organic foods! Irradiation of food probably causes ADD or ADHD....we simply don't knkow. Also, genetically modified food are screwing with our brains!

No drugs at all!! A child with ADD is MUCH better of without being pumped full of pills than he is without it. Change his diet for the better, and give him Omega-3 supplements to support brain function. Please, PLEASE, do not medicate your child. I was medicated for ADD for almost a decade of my childhood. Concerta was a nasty drug and it would give me withdrawls if I didn't take it. You're just pumping your child full of amphetamines. Please, please, talk to your doctor about different remedies.
