As far as mounting (aka humping) is concerned with neutered or spayed dogs, observations have shown that those (mostly males but sometimes females) who are aroused or excited often times exhibit mounting behavior. This is referred to as a social overture during play. It is believed to have nothing to do with dominance or with one animal trying to convey something to another. Latest research has shown mounting to be a normal canine response that occurs commonly when dogs, especially adolescents, experience emotional states of arousal.
The key to prevention is teaching a dog skills like come or sit/maintain. For example if the dog is going into a state or arousal, they can be cued to stop the behavior and calm themselves down before mounting occurs. With the skills you've taught your dog, you will be giving them something else to do besides mounting. In the event mounting occurs you may need to interfere, but do so very carefully so you do not further arouse the dog or cause the dog to feel threatened.
When mounting is occurring, if you are concerned that one dog is getting annoyed and can not defend themselves or get away from the humper, step between them and separate them with your body. This is only if the dog has not been taught skills with distractions, and is not responding to your cues. If the humping dog can not calm down on their own and is bothering other dogs, crate them or pull them aside and wait until their arousal level lowers. If the "humper" is not particularly bothering the other dogs - let 'em go for it. Look at it as mother nature's way of giving them an opportunity to practice for sex.
There is evidence that some female dogs exhibit "male" characteristics, such as marking and mounting, which is believed to be associated with higher levels of testosterone.
Researchers are tossing the whole dominance theory and rank reduction stuff to the wind. The most recent thought is that humping is simply a social behavior/motor pattern that dogs have. All it means is that the dog is excited or in an aroused state (they are hyper). Females do it too. Dogs do not understand rank because they do not relate to the experiences of others. They are self aware but not other aware. They can not understand "you lose, I win." All they relate to is the present (this feels good) and the past (this was reinforcing and felt good before).
Dogs live in the present, but bring their past experiences along with them to determine how they will respond to present circumstances and situations. What they cannot perceive is the future or how to control or influence the future.
Another dog's play style may be too rough for your dog and could end up getting one of them in trouble. A dog's play style cannot be changed. If you are concerned with another dog’s play behavior, you will have to manage your dog and only allow them to play with dogs that have mutual play behavior. You are taking a chance every time you let your dog play with an unfamiliar dog because that unfamiliar dog may misinterpret your dog's behavior as threats rather than as play.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LESBIAN DOG, THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON FOR CERTAIN BEHAVIOR.

Apparently she doesn't see you as truly the dominant one. Tell her "no" when she tries it on you, smack her behind a little, and every time you see her "warming up" for you say her name in a warning tone. That's what I do to my dog. It works quite well.
As for being a lesbian, most animals do not have a sexuality. If there are no male dogs in the house what do you expect her to do? She's going after the only other animals around: females. It doesn't make her weird or anything, it just makes her a rather horny female. If you hate it so much, though, discourage even that action by doing something she doesn't like to her. Many dogs don't like water so I would suggest having a spray bottle around to wet her with, while telling her "no", to get it in her mind that you do not tolerate that behavior.

It is more about dominance than being a lesbian. My little dog would try to hump my german shepherd and they are both spayed. They just try to show that they are the boss, that they are in charge.

a female dog lesbian weird but i think that if you have a friend with a couple of male dogs take your dog over your friends house and leave your dog over there for a while around those male dogs and hopefully she will get use to males and quit humping you

It is a dominance thing. I had a female dog that was spayed who did that when she got excited. You might think you're the dominant one. But she might not feel that way.

Wow,she's just horney!!! She's not a lesbian, remember you spayed her,she just want to have a feeling of being able to "do-it"
with dogs,so she replaces that feeling with humping due to being spayed. Hope this helps.

Do you have a lot of males in your house?
My male dog loves to hump males because he is so used to living with only females.

I have observed this behavior in cattle as well as small puppies who were male around older male dogs. I think it more of a general sex drive/instinct that the animal is responding to, and you of course, have seen them when they hunch on a person's leg, so that shows that they have a problem with the drive itself.
I have read several dog training books that perhaps would answer this cross the species line by saying that if your pet is so sidetracked and driven by this behavior around others, Barbara Woodhouse in her book No Bad Dogs would have suggested that your pet, regardless of species, might be better of neutered or spayed to give it peace of mind. Your veterinarian is a good person to consult. Since you said she is already "fixed" then I refer you to my grandma's answer to my childhood question of "What were those cows doing in that field?" when we left a funeral nearby. She responded that "they were just getting their exercise", and maybe that is what your dog is needing. More exercise! Perhaps she can be conditioned/trained to stop the behavior by snatching her backwards or off her feet when she attempts it, and maybe she will stop as a result.

O_o canines in reality mate to reproduce. They to no longer mate out of tangible charm. Homosexuality isn't glaring in the canines international. Your canines is untrained, no longer a lesbian. that's an exhibition of dominance and has no longer some thing to do with sexuality.
