I dont know of any places in Chennai that you could go, but I suggest looking for books in the Teach Yourself series. It is a very simple series to learn from ( any language) and for a language book, it is not expensive. Try going to ebay or Amazon or another bookseller. I learned German, Hindi Script, and Advanced French from this series. Best of Luck.
