My sister had terrible hay fever that interfered with her job and personal life. She said the shots cost a lot, but after getting them for a year, her symptoms are 'way more managable.

I get a different type of shot from my doctor once a month in the summer months to control my seasonal allergies. It helps to stop me from coughing and wheezing from spring until fall.

I have allergies, but would never do allergy shots. I'm not comfortable with the idea of screwing around with people's immune systems. And, I once got a life-threatening virus from a shot, that was not supposed to be part of it, but got in during the manufacturing, and four years later I'm still recovering from the damage. Granted, it was a flu shot, not an allergy shot... but I would have stood a better chance if I had caught the flu. So, after that, no thanks, I figure I stand a better chance of surviving allergies.

Depends on what the allergies where and how badly I was affected. If my eyes were constantly streaming, nose running, skin breaking out in hives etc. then yes I would as the allergies would be affecting my life

Yes, I have them. No, I would never take allergy shots. I don't know anyone who has benefited from doing so and I'm not inclined to being poked repeatedly with needles.

I do have allergies but they're not severe enough to warrant shots. I would try them if nothing else worked.

It all depends on what your allergies are and how bad your reactions are. I know mine aren't bad enough for that, but my friends are and he takes the shots.

Nope! Too much time, too much money, and my allergies would have to be life-threatening to make it worth my while.
