He's not black and he's not white, he's not even asian. God is a spirit, "his hair was like wolven which felt like sheeps skin, eyes like fire" is all a metaphor in my belief signifying his depth and greatness- I strongly believe it has nothing to do with race.! As for Jesus in human form, we may never know his race (not that it matters), but as for God in heaven in my vision and understanding he is exacly what I have previously stated.

Actually, God has no hair or skin or anything else, God is Spirit without Form. Some people of the Black Nationalist movement have jumped on this quote from Revelatoins to argue that God is Black, to counteract the feeling of alienatoin many Black people feel from the too-white depictions of God. Some even use it to argue that God is Black, His people are Black, and so white folks don't stand a chance.

That vision, from the book of Revelatoins, was reported by a visionary of Semetic or Middle Eastern heritage. Hair like wool and skin like bronze is what most people of that part of the world look like. Visionaries generally see God and other sacred beings in a form similar to their own. This is why in sacred art from any part of the world, whether Asia, Africa, Europe, Native American, etc, God and other sacred beings look just like the people there, only prettier and better dressed. For example, most well known pictures of the Virgin Mary were done by European artists and so she looks white. But in the picture of Our Lady of Guadalope she looks aboriginal (Native) American, and a famous icon from what is now southeast Russia or Pakistan shows her with dark skin and sharp features like the people there. OF course Buddha is portrayed as a pleasantly plump Asian man, and White Buffalo Woman looks like a powwow princess. Why not?

Our minds insist on putting familar forms on the Formless, that's why we envision God and the angels etc as humanoid beings in the same color and shape as ourselves. God is beyond all that. This is why some traditions forbid artistic renderings of God altogether, saying that such art tends toward idoliatry.

Beige!

"Brown" !

All the people on this planet Earth are descendants from the first couple -
Adam and Eve. We are ALL just shades of that same colour !

Hold a sheet of Real White and Real Black paper up against your skin.
I can tell you "for certain" that your skin colour matches neither of these
paper colour samples. We are all "off white - or - BROWN !

WE ARE ALL OF THE SAME COLOUR because we are all indeed
descendants of that couple. Because of protective pigmentation we
are of different shades indeed.

What a beautiful example of how OUR MAKER designed us and built
a protective system into our skins to protect us from the suns rays !

Few people realize that The Bible does not say anything in opposition to
what is referred to as "mixed marriages". This is precisely why.

If "mixed marriages" do not work in our society, as it is today, it is because
of the arrogance of man. To "prove" superiority they often use gross
misinterpretations of Bible passages or misapply a Bible passage to
make it look like it proves them correct.

Which verse did that come from? I thought he was Irish American or Chinese. It really doesn't matter, since I was made in his image, but I would like to know which, Bible verse describes the physical looks of my Almighty GOD! I also have not seen anyone red, yellow, black or white with eyes of fire. You may be right, GOD MAY NOT BE WHITE, but there won't be any KKK members in heaven to tell us "I told you so". We are all creations of the same GOD and trying to figure out whose brotherhood he belongs to leads to violence and war, we should all cosentrate on loving one another and doing GOD's will through obedience of his word! GOD BLESS YOU!

To call God black or white always incites anger and racism from blacks or whites.
I don't really care what color he is, so long as he's God.
The Bible never specifies. In heaven we will all be one race, one family.
It doesn't matter.

God has no color. The fictitious character "Jesus" would be black because of where he was born. If he had been white. this would have been mentioned often in the bible because the people of Jerusalem & Galilee would have thought it so odd!.

You mean Jesus? If you're black don't wish that Jesus was Black and if you're White Don't be too confident because they portray him as white. It really doesn't matter as long as you do his will you're his son or her daughter. And my best advice to you folks is not to argue about this subject with anybody.
Time is running out try to save your spot in heaven.

Is this the scripture you are speaking of?

Dan 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire

WOW are you serious - and all this time, I though that God was sexless, genderless, and without race. How about we stop trying to fit the Almighty God into our simple human standards, after all, God is not human.

"felt" is a key word. doesn't say it was. God was never white or black. God is spirit. Moses could only see His glory, not His face.
