It's a defense posture. Do you mean "weary" or "wary"? In the animal world, looking and acting bigger than your opponent or enemy sometimes works as a defense. Even humans do this. If he is weary (tired), he is just stretching. My cats even yawn. If he is wary (cautious), I don't know. My cats walk around constantly with their tails straight up in the air. They do this when they greet me and want to be petted also.

sometimes cats/kittens arch up and put there tail up to people that means they love you and they probly want love or something if thats any help or what you are looking for ok thats is!

If they are tired they are just stretching. If they are scared, they are trying to look as big as possible to scare away there attacker.

it's scared, so it tries to make itself appear bigger to scare away whatever it's fear is. they do the same thing when they fight
