Well not being handsome has nothing to do with telling your friend what you feel. If you feel it, it is valid, and does not have to do with your looks. It is apples and oranges.
If seeking a girlfriend isn't working for you, then perhaps you should ask yourself why it is important anyway? Maybe you could focus on the other things in your life and pay less attention to this aspect of it.
If you are happy people will gravitate towards you.

I disagree with most of the other answers--the ones that say, just tell her. You don't say how close you are as friends, but if you are hanging out together, you will be able to get a sense of whether she has those kinds of feelings for you or not. I'd say take it slow, just focus on spending time together and finding things to do that you think she would like (that's one way to show you care about her). If you are really close, another thing you'll know is whether she has feelings for someone else. Also, you'll know her friends and can get an idea from them how she feels.
If you have just been searching for a girlfriend, maybe the girls knew that and didn't feel as though they were particularly special to you. Girls, just like other people, want to feel cared about for themselves, not just as a status symbol or arm candy or whatever!

First of all don't start with that ''I am not handsome".If you want to make things good for you than you must be more self-confident.Maybe because of your attitude things go in the wrong way.Did you sometimes think that she is your friend for some good reasons.She spends the time with you because she is pleasured and has a good time with you or you just see the dark side?Think about this and try.Good luck.

If I were in those shoes, I would simply tell her. What do you have to lose? Is the friendship in jeopardy if you tell her that you want her to be more than a friend? Is she involved with someone else? Dint worry about looks. Have you ever seen a mule with a model? I'm sure you have. Women love confidence. Decide on what can happen if you tell her the truth about how you feel about her. Remember, Many women are not worth your tears, any one that is wont ever make you cry.

it doesnt matter if your handsome or not. the most attractive thing a perdon has is their smile. and no the teeth do't have to look perfect either, just knowing that your happy talking or thinking about that person is good enough, and thats what a smile does. as for asking a friend out, i wouldn't ask her to be your gf right away. ask her to get a cup of coffee with you or go see a movie, then let it progress from there.

Just come out and let her know how you feel. Who knows? Maybe she's thinking the same thing about you but is too shy to let you know?
Don't worry about rejection. I've been around a LONG time and have been rejected more then once. Live goes on.

DOnt Give up ... Keep on doing and one day you will finally have a GLF... So tell her the truth and show her what you can offer her for a relationship .. BE HONEST and FOLLOW what you said to her as u meant it well .. not just lame talks .. NO ! Just show her and be true to yrself to her .. simple!

Umm...well, one day while you and her are talking, if there is an odd, silent moment, take her by the hand, look her deep in the eyes and tell her exactly how you feel. Girls love that kind of stuff.
