You have to pay a lot extra to fly on SIA Business Class. There are other options though.
Star Alliance airlines – Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Lufthansa, have launched the Star Alliance Upgrade Awards. KrisFlyer members and members of the frequent flyer programmes of these five airlines can now redeem their frequent flyer miles for flight upgrades on any of these airlines.
For example, as a KrisFlyer member, you can purchase an Economy Class ticket (on a specific booking class) on a participating Star Alliance airline and then redeem your KrisFlyer miles for an upgrade to a Business Class seat on the same flight.*
More Star Alliance airlines will soon be offering upgrade awards redemption, so you can look forward to enjoying greater choice and flexibility for your flights from some of the world’s leading airlines.
