you location, budget, interests, mode of transport and the time of the date are essential parameters that define options for your date, however I am quite partial to attending a comedy show for a first date, because the atmosphere is infectious. If an act cannot be found, a comedy cinema film is almost as good, but doesn't offer the chance to eat and drink (except popcorn and soda) while being viewed. A restaraunt hosting a karaoke contest can be fantastic, but you may be subject to the embaressment of performing, or watching your partner fumble in their performance then searching for the right pep talk to help them get over it. This is why I reinforce the benefits of sitting near the back of a large room full of spectators at a comedy performance act, especially by someone who doesn't need to rely on critisizing, condemning or complaining material about stereotypes and minority groups. Good luck.
