Monty will never win the US Open or any other major championship. He is a fantastic player, but he chokes when it's on the line.

The "Full Monty" choked again on Saturday and will never win a major championship on US soil. he may win the British Open one day , but I doubt it. Phil Mickelson will win his 4th major and is close to taking over the world #1 golfer ranking from Tiger Woods. Phil will be looking to win the "Tiger Slam" if he wins this years US Open and can then win the British Open. He will have held all 4 majors at the same time, just not in the same year. Bobby Jones is the only male golfer ever to win the Grand Slam in one calendar year.

It seems unlikely that Monty will win. Bout on Winged Foot anything is possible. Mickelson, at the end of the third round looks favourite. Sorry Monty, keep the tag as best player never to win a major tournament.

Nope. I'm Scottish and would like to see him win a major.
Unfortunately, he can't putt under pressure, so I can't see him shooting the 67 that he may need.
