To have left the world a better place than they found it.

I think it's his effect on others. No one with a strong legacy served just himself. (Look at Bill Gates' recent announcement to concentrate on philanthropy.)

They were honest in their dealings.
My personal claim is I'm going to be with Jesus in eternity.
Also I was (am) a great mother.
