So why do any christians answer here? If you have a computer and an internet account, you certainly haven't followed the teachings of your mythical sky-pixie have you?
Want proof?

Matthew 19:21-24

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Here is another;
Matthew 6:24

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money.

So, to any of you christians answering, are you hypocrites or do you realize that god is imaginary?

Jesus was testing the young man in Matthew19:21-24, he wanted to know if the young man truly wanted eternal life, if he truly loved God, or if he just wanted to serve both, he wasn't willing to give up his riches. What God wants is for you to acknowledge him and be WILLING to give everything up for Him. Christians are not hypocrites and God is not imaginary, God thinks in ways that we cannot for any reason commprehend, it is impossible. Matthew 6:24 is totally correct, God has simply worded it so that it will throw you off, "No one can serve two masters..." You have a choice, " for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other..." Either you will love God and hate sin, or you will love sin and hate God. it's that simple. Try picking apart the passages you have put up and decifer what God is saying.

If you would only read your Bible you would see that the Lord Jesus Christ is offering the Nation of Israel a earthly kingdom on earth to those that would except him as their King. They could not take anything with them in the earthly kingdom. Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. When the Nation of Israel reject Him as their king and had Him killed the Lord Jesus Christ called the apostle Paul and gave him the dispensation of grace. Ephesians 3: 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: Today all people are alike and all that trust what He did on the cross have eternal life in heaven. We dont have to give up everthing to get into God's heaven. All we have to is believe and trust in what He has done for us. I think you are a hypocrity because you still have a computer and are ignoant of God's Word because you don't know what you are talking about. Ephesians 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

He was talking to a rich man, He later says

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God

my God is alive and as real as the world he created

in this day and age it is different, God supplies us with what we need to live

He wanted that man to become His disciple

Why does it concern you so much about Christians? Why have you spent all day thinking up silly questions for Christians? You must have more to your life than that.....Christians are not perfect, we sin like everyone else...the Christians that tell you that they don't sin are the hypocrites. Why don't you spend less time focusing on Christians and more time finding something that you believe in....because as much as you try to over analyze the Bible and try to interpret everything your way, you will never convince a true Christian that God does not exist.

I have given to the church and to those who are less fortunate and I have done so without any added prodding. I give beyond what I think I can afford and so far, I have not put myself in debt. That is the miracle. I don't have to understand it. But, I am aware, just the same. It is a good question. I wonder about your motive for asking. Care to answer your own question? If you do, I'll give you a star. Deal?

The best thing Christ said is take up your cross and follow me. The Bible also says to give according to as you are able, for God loves a cheerful giver. God knows we need money to survive, in most cases its not how much you give but the attitude you have towards giving. Most good churches use a portion of the money they recieve to help others, and to give food to the needy, and alot of the televangilical churches are in it for the bucks.

I believe to answer the Word, you must read the Word:

Matthew 6:

19: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

24: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25: Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26: Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27: Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28: And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30: Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32: (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Please don't take the Bible out of context. Jesus was talking to one particular individual about his problem with money. What he in particular needed to do was give it up so he could serve God and not his money.

Donating money is a great thing to do and I do it and it helps me to let go of my own desire of money. But the Bible never says that everyone should give up everything they have.

"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." ~ 2 Cor. 9:7

It is not to be taken literally. It means we shouldn't be attached to material things to the point of "worshipping the money" instead of God. We must share our blessings especially to those who need it most. There is nothing in this world we can take with us when death comes knocking,so we must all live true Christian lives, believe in God's salvation, and be prepared to meet Him.

Jesus was speaking to one young man whose hangup was money.......it was his life..in his situation it would seperate him from Christ.

We all have our "one thing" like the rich young ruler did. It may not be money for all of us, but we all have our hang ups. Yours happens to be unbelief. whatever takes the place of Jesus in your life is your equivalent to the ruler's money. Money is not evil. The love of money is the root of all evil. Money only becomes evil when we serve it, when it becomes our master, when it rules our lives. Your unbelief and hatred towards God causes you to misinterpret scripture......but at least you are trying to read His word.

Add a little prayer to that reading and you will be surprised at your change of perspective.....
