I'm not currently in Xiamen, although my parents are from there and my grandparents were professors at Xiamen University.
I just visited Xiamen last summer and it gets prettier every year, especially Huandao Road, which goes around the island.
We have a house on the beach which is splendid b/c we have the beach out in the front and mountains in the back.
It can get pretty humid though, so most of my days were spent indoors in AC.

In some strategies both are properly proper. just about all the rich chinese language households who've settled down in the Philippines originated from Fujian, it quite is why in the eyes of Filipinos the wealthiest chinese language actually everyone appears Fujianese. actually Hong Kong is the most rich region in south China and your chinese language friends understand that.
