People at work say there is a ghost that hangs around, what are your opinions on "ghosts" and do they actually exist? What does the Bible say about them?

Yes. Ghosts do exist. But contrary to popular belief, they are NOT
the spirits of the "departed dead". They are spirits though. They
are what the bible refers to as "familiar spirits" In other words they are demonic spirits impersonating "dead" people. I have personally
had dealings with these "hauntings". I have cast these demons out
of dwelling places of people I know. We as Christians have the same authority over these familiar spirits as we do over all demons.
If we are blood washed born again children of God, the name of
Jesus on our lips is a terror to all demonic creatures. They were all
defeated by the blood of His cross. Halleluah !

If by "ghost" you mean the 'soul' or 'spirit' of the dead, then THESE do not exist. That is Hollywood's interpretation. The Bible clearly compares death to sleep, a state of unconsciousness.
However, when Satan was cast out of heaven, one-third of the angels were also cast out with him. Satan and these fallen angels (demons) impersonate the dead in order to deceive the living. These are the "ghosts" that exist today.

Ghosts do not exist. Demons do. I know a family that has been under attack for along time. They are very negative. The dad is a big wig and town and treats his family like his workers. Depression runs rampant through the females in the family. When they are all together you can feel the demon. They of course refuse to believe. Read Hostage To The Devil by Fr. Malachi Martin.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I believe in demons. They can, and do act "ghostly" sometimes to scare people. These things happen all the time, and then people say it's a ghost. Your soul goes to heaven or hell, there is no in-between. No one stays around after death.

I think spirits of the deceased are still around for us to call upon. Sometimes they save us, warn us, protect us, or send messages. They can appear suddely as well. The Bible speaks of demons but there are also angels. They can be considered "ghost" or "spirits" as well.

Contact with the dead, necromancy, spiritism, etc. is enmity with God. If people experience ghosts, they are demons in disguise.

You mean like the spirit of a a dead person returning to Earth? No, not without God's express command, and certainly not just to "hang around." There are evil spirits (demons), but they're not much for just hanging around either, plus they usually don't want anyone to know they're there.

ghosts are for the movies, I do believe the spirits of our loved ones are still available to us even though we can't 'see' them. The best answer for your question is a book by Patrick Mathews, its called Never Say Goodbye
