I'm really slim but I have a horible diet. I have weird times where I'm almost never hungry and eat very little, but normally I eat frequently. I love chocolate and anything sweet, pizza, carbs, and fruit. I'm beginning to exercise more to gain muscle, and I swim, but that's it. I don't have any health problems, so I basically need motivation to start eating right. And suggestions for yummy health food.

Good for you on the exercising. If you truly want to gain more muscle, eating healthy will definitely help. The body needs the building blocks to make muscle. Jjunk food (or not eating) do not give it good quality material to do the job.

Along the same line, eating right is not just about staying slim, it is also about giving your body the nutrients it needs to keep all your organs functioning at their best and keeping up your immunity to resist disease. It's like putting bad gasoline into your car. For awhile it will drive fine, but eventually the bad gasoline will wear on the internal parts of the car and something will break.

Keeping the car...and your body...from breaking down is a whole lot easier (and cheaper) than trying to fix it after it breaks down.

You're slim physique may not last forever. Being heartly is more than just weight and muscle mass. You have a heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, and brain that depend on you being healthy. If you want a long and fulfilling life without worry of major health issues, you may want to consider eating healthier. Eating healthy doesn't mean that you can't eat the fatty, sugary foods that you love. It just means that you must have a good balance of healthy food. Chosing exercise was a good idea. With a different diet, you'll be at the top of your game!

you may be skinny, but it will come back to haunt you later in life. You can get heart problems, stomache problems, many other things too. If you like eating bread (i love it) have spagetti and angel hair pasta a lot. Or garlic bread, chicken, cassorole. those things.

Just because you are slim doesn't mean you are healthy. I know lots of slim people who are in really bad shape....and I would hate to see what they are like when they are old and there bodies rebel because they haven't been taken care of.
