Sorry your DVDs can not work in UK. Yours is American -NTSC System while UK has PAL system. You need code free -Multy System DVD player and should be 220V.

DVDs are coded with different Regions around the world. UK and the USA aren't compatible. However, there are Region Free DVD Players - which will allow for UK and USA DVDs to be played without hassle.

nope because I've tried this before.
Why? because something inside the DVD player, maybe a chip or something I'm not sure that doesn't allow DVD's from other countries to play.

It'll work on a computer with a DVD drive in it. Now I've tried that and it worked for me.

Check your local electronic store for more info'.

Not necessarily. It depends how the DVDs are coded (likely Region 1) and your DVD player. If you are taking your current DVD player, it shouldn't be a problem. Here's some more info: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/502554/203-5516295-3583950

Nope the country code is different. You can only play US DVDs in Canada. Crazy huh!

Only if you have a region free DVD player. They'll play NTSC, PAL, and other formats.

Here's a site that sells some cheap ones:

(One downside: you might need an outlet converter. you can find them a Wal-Mart next to the travel bags.)
