My spelling may suck (and that's what all of my teachers say, so no wonder I did so bad in English), but here are some of my facts:
*If Jesus wasn't divine, then how did he get to Heaven?
*Dan Brown didn't have his facts right, because he said that the Dead Sea Scrolls (that contain info on Jesus) were discovered in the 1950's, not 1947 when they really were discovered.
* Dan Brown's book was taken mostley from other woks. From books of pseudo-history (Holy Blood, Holy Grail, The Templar Revelation) where all of the story connecting Jesus, Mary Magdalene, the Holy Grail-as-Mary, and the "Priory os Scion" was taken from.

Interesting for a person to say "there's fact to back up my statement," and then not supply the fact(s).
And surely you don't literally mean that none of it is true? The Mona Lisa and the Last Supper by Da Vinci have both been reproduced over and over; in fact, you can get a free download of a jpg version from Dover Publications if you want. I have them; I can email them to you.
The art work and the architecture described in the story are accurately described. Brown never said the adventure story was fact; he sold it as fiction, and it involves fictional characters. Just how much truth was used to create the fiction is open to speculation. Opus Dei is a real organization, and some or all of the other organizations may be, too, for all I know.
Why do we have to believe or disbelieve? Why can't we speculate? What's wrong with an unanswered question as to the facts of history? I suspect most Christians have long since given up expecting that the entire 2,000 history of the Christian church is true and honorable, or that its truth value is necessary to their continuing to regard themselves as Christians.
To me, the idea that Jesus was married to Magdalene is plausible mostly because Jewish men of Jesus' day simply did not stay unmarried to age 33. It was considered shirking their duty to the tribe, to God's instruction to be fruitful and multiply. Whatever the scribes and pharisees may have said about Jesus, we have no record of his being criticized for neglecting this most important duty. And he would have been strongly criticized long before his 23rd birthday, let alone his 33rd.

common. that is not any longer actual. do a touch basic analyze. start up with a thanks to spell "DaVinci." Dan Brown is a novelist with a energetic mind's eye and an time table. at the same time as the DaVinci Code became an proper e book and that i very a lot loved the variety and %., it turned right into a paintings of fiction, and inasmuch as Dan Brown provided it no less than of in part authentic or valid, it became blasphemy. And maximum historians of any credibility have brushed off each declare made contained in the e book as utter fabrication. a touch analyze will be all it truly is critical to debunk the completed framework of the DaVinci Code.

Its a book of fiction once you understand that you'll be much better off. but on the same page the best lies mix a little bit of fact into them its what makes them more believeable so he Dan Brown might have got lucky and unknowingly spilled some secrets but who cares because its ancient history and it is completely fictious book, a very very good fictious book

I agree with you. I just read Cracking the Da Vinci Code and Breaking the Da Vinci Code both written by PHd's who have spent the majority of their lives studying theology and they have given tons of evidence that Jesus WAS NOT MARRIED AND HE WAS NOT MARRIED TO MARY MAGDALANE. There is also proof that the first person to "find" the record of Jesus' supposed descendents wrote them himself and he admitted to making the fake documents in a french court.

It's "Da VINCI". Just because there is a "ch" sound, doesn't mean there is an "h" there.
Maybe you should learn some facts to back-up your spelling instead of worrying about a book. If a book rocks your boat THAT much, maybe your faith isn't a strong as you thought.

your spelling shows your lack of intelligence. I believe all of christianity has a secret or a thousand. christianity has spread much misinformation for centuries. ever heard of the dark ages? it was sanctioned by the catholic christian churches. the protestants, seeing that people who are educated are more likely to deconvert, have taken the stand agianst intellectualism, and learing to think for yourself. catholics have realized they cannot control the masses as they used to. most people pay no mind to the Pope these days. too bad they cant do the same to thier preachers.

It is a shame that people believe in that. The author tried to make it appear as a fictionalized history.
Also, many people bought into it because it said what they want to hear.

I believe Mary was not a virgin.
I believe Jesus was a man only.
I believe Jesus had sex.
I believe Jesus had children and walked away from them.
I believe Jesus has descendants and we'll never know in our lifetime who they are.

there may be fact-but you did not argue your point. Did you even see the movie or did you just see an advertisement and figure that the question had not been posted enough?
