If you have a non-stick surface in the pan, I would NOT use a metal spatula in it. Use a sturdy, solid plastic spatula. However, if you don't have a non-stick surface in the pan, you can use whatever spatula at your own discretion. I still suggest a plastic one though, because using a metal tool with a metal pan could affect the flavor of the food

that depends on what the pan is made out of....No metal on non stick pans

i honestly wouldnt use on any kind of pan......wether teflon or not....it can still scratch the surface and cause it to rust after washing it.
