Can u give me any more information about the show on pbs about the 400' fire extension ladder? Any info so I can search more accurately and find this info on the net. I would like to see it.

400'?!?! Not that I have ever heard of. You saw a PBS special about one? Was it a prototype or theoretical?
I think the tallest U.S. platform trucks top out at about 175' (see attached link to article). There is a European manufacturer, Bronto Skylift, whose tallest unit is about 88 meters (that's not quite 300'). I think that the tallest trucks currently in the world.
Check the site out, it's pretty impressive stuff!
