I have checked the wiring and it is fine. How do I change my dash lights like the D-P-R .. ?

Sometimes when I brake my backlight warning light comes on and goes away from time to time. What could be the problem. What is the cheapest way to fix it.

If you are going to ask diagnostic questions over the computer, it's best to give all information as possible......as if you were taking vehicle to dealer for service. What make, model, year, engine, transmission, and any other info. you can think of. After saying that, Camry's had a problem with the wires running to the trunk area for the rear lights. They will break wires in the harness near the left rear trunk hinge area. You will have to pull the plastic covering off of the harness to see the individual wires. If none appear broken, pull on the wires themselves. Sometimes they break even under the wire insulation and you can't tell until you physically pull on them.....then the insulation breaks and you can see. Camrys mostly affected by this are 92' to 96' models. Also, check the taillight failure relay located in the left side rear of the trunk behind the trunk carpet....they also tend to burn out causing strange tail light behavior.

Replace the bulbs, even if they look OK. Check the fuse to be sure it isn't blown. If the back-up lights still don't work, it is probably the switch, located behind the gear shifter. If your shifter is on the floor between the seats, changing it should be pretty easy. If it's on the steering column, the steering wheel will have to come off. I'd let the dealer handle that one.

If the shifter won't shift, this is broken or loose. The opposite easy will come on if the transmission gets shifted to opposite, the easy bulb is stable, the opposite easy fuse is stable and the opposite easy change is stable. Then, there is the ever-loving pc. Get an OBD2 code verify accomplished and write down the hardship codes. shop on with up with their definitions.

Brake light or back light? If brake, check th brake fluid. There is a sensor for low fluid.
