It is immaterial.
He was the King of Jews.
Why should you even care? It matters not his nationality. He came to teach us how to walk & live. He did not mention his race because he wanted us to walk in the spirit not in the flesh!

Consider this fact: Jesus was born in the Middle East.
Now, consider common sense: If the above is a fact, Jesus would look like a Middle Eastern.

Jesus was born in the middle east, so he must have been the same brownish color that the other middle easterners are today. (If he was white he would have really stuck out).
He is painted white because the artist that painted the original picture was a white guy and made Jesus the way he saw other people in the world around him - all whites.

One cannot say that jesus was muslim or jewish because these are religions not races. Jesus was Palestinian. That makes him not white but the colour of people from the middle eastern countries if one chooses to call them arabs.

Certainly to some degree. Look at the world map, look at his travels. THe question you ought to be asking is how in the world could anyone live in that region during that time and not be, at a minimum, much darker than themost accepted picture of him. C'mon! For all of those folks that beg to differ, who believe....Here's my question to all of you....when he comes back, like he said he would, what are you going to do, if he is black

He was of African descent; it states so in the pedigree. So I think that, while he may not have been truly as Black as the Africans we see today, he was probably darker than the other Jews and Arabs around him.

Jesus is golden.
His hair is as white as snow, and His eyes are burning flame.
He is clothed in light and wrapped in rainbows.
He is the color of life, He is the color of joy, He is the color of salvation.
Jesus belongs to all races.
