after reading books like ten things i learned wrong in a conservative church, I am thoroughly convinced the legalistic Pharasees the bible is referring to, the christians are another version of them.

Some of them (maybe most of them) doubtless are.
You probably don't know the ones who aren't. They sort of hang in the background, and there aren't very many of them.

In the context of the Bible itself, no; the Pharisees are quite distinct from Christians themselves. Since the Pharisees collapsed as a movement after the AD 70 fall of Jerusalem, as a distinct entity they don't exist today. But each of us has the potential to become a Pharisee in thought, where keeping the law and the ritual of the Christian church is more imporant that showing Christ's own love, mercy, and forgiveness. We're not Pharisees as long as we exercise our God-given brains.

A true Christian will do evey thing opposite of what Jesus convicted the Pharisees of doing wrong
