For the answers you got saying the baby may not be addicted; medical proof is that it WILL be born addicted. While they are helped through withdrawal in the hospital after birth, they go through hell. They usually have problems in school and other aspects of their life. Their bodies and mental abilities will always be affected. That does not mean they do not have a right to be born and have a life; they did nothing to deserve what they will go through. It is very sad.

The baby won't be healthy. I'm not sure if it will be destined to be a crack addict but it will have some serious health issues. If the women continues to smoke it, the baby will have some of it in it's body when it's born.

The baby would be born addicted to crack as well as having other health problems. The baby will be born underweight, will most likel develop learning disabilites, and will have a propensity to become addicted to drugs.

Being born addicted is going to be the least of that child's problems. The baby may be born deformed, mentally challenged, or with physical and learning disabilities. Which leads me to my next point, some people just should not be allowed to procreate.

The baby will probably be born addicted and with health problems associated with the mother using drugs, but that doesn't necessarily mean the baby will be addicted his/her whole life. He/she could grow up and decide the drugs aren't worth it.

I don't know... I don't think so, but definitely the baby'll have several learning problems and it won't be as healthy as any other baby. The baby could also turn out mentally ratarded, or have other grave probs

the baby, if it survives, would be addicted when born, but they are weaned from the drug and hopefully will stay off of it.
