Creationism is a fantasy.
ID is a pathetic attempt to legitimize the teaching of mythology in Science class. Thankfully the Dover schoolboard in PA took it to court and the ID'ers could not present a single testable hypothesis in thier argument.
Sadly, Kansas has seen fit to hop on the short bus, helmets and drool bibs firmly in place.

Intelligent Design and Creationism are one and the same. The term Intelligent Design theory was created in order to try to legitimize the teaching of religion in the public school system. Inteligent Design is no theory, it is the same old fairie tale story of biblical creation. Theories, even the most loosely based ones, tend to have at least some scientific evidence supporting them. Intelligent design has nothing of the kind.

Intelligent design is the position that follows the principle that every effect must have an adequate cause, i.e. there is obvious order (and therefore design) in the universe, so that implies the existence of a Designer.

Creationism is the antithesis of evolutionism. It is the position that all things that exist are the direct result of creation by God as recorded in the Bible (book of Genesis).

The two are linked, but not necessarily one and the same. Some hold the position that God designed/started it all and then evolution took over, aka theistic evolution. We call those "fence-straddlers."

This is the age old battle of creation versus evolution. As far as I'm concerned it's all a load of crock! Just because things can't be explained in a human lifetime of 70 to 90 years, doesn't mean its not true. In 4.5 billion years, the solar system, including the Earth was FORMED along with the Sun. We're all part of it and I am absolutely convinced that the universe is teaming with life and some of it is intelligent. In fact, I believe that life is the default condition and is abundant throughout the universe. God or religion has nothing whatever to do with it. Jules, lecturer. Australia.

Creationism is the belief that God made the earth and the whole universe by a wave of the hand. Evolutionists dispute this idea. Now the creationists came up with a different word to explain how it all bagan.
Their idea now is that some great power ( they avoid saying God ) must have designed and built the whole universe. They say that it's all to complicated to have been brought about by evolution.
In other words, it's the religious creationists trying to get their idea across again. Too many people are going with the evolutionists since they have tons of evidence to support their idea.

Intelligent Design is the basis of Deism. The belief that there is a God who designed all this in the get go (even evolution), but God's involvement ended at that. Creationism is what the Bible teaches. God created it all as it is today and evolution is not involved.

The world is full of examples for unintelligent design.
It's really hopeless and that hopelessness is the mother of invention.
Hence, we get creationism.

A false representation of how life appeared on the planet. Phony non-science. Every scientist knows it's garbage.

Same thing, since whoever created it seems pretty intelligent when you look around.
