I have just discovered that my long time live in boyfriend is on yahoo personals and is telling other women a bunch of lies about himself. Would you give him a chance to explain himself?

There is nothing more important than honesty in a relationship. If he is supposed to be committed to you and is per suing other women deceitfully then I say lose him.

I also strongly believe that living together outside of a marriage commitment is a recipe for disaster.

The whole Internet and personal communication thing is false, always has been. I NEVER believe what is in fron of me (text or CPU wise) unless the actual person is right before my eyes. Tell him to stop and that people will actually believe everything he says. Unless he's only having fun, then what harm is being done?

If its all a bunch of lies then he must not be too concerned with people knowing the real him. I mean some people do it for some added attention as rediculous as it may be....if its not a potentially harmful thing to your relationship then I'd leave it alone!

I would ask about it. If you don't like the answer, well, then it's up to you to decide what to do. IMHO, lying in personals ads is horrible, especially since there are some people out there who are serious about finding "that special someone." Unforunately, I would think it does happen.

NO!! I would kick his sorry *** out now. The fact that he is lying to you and toying with other women is a true indicator that he doesn't think much of women. What a huge ******. What you should ask yourself is what else has he been doing behind your back.

Nah I wouldn't give him a chance to explain nothing. He's telling them lies in the hopes that they don't ever find out what a loser he is.

Your boyfriend seems to have problems being true to you. I would give him a chance to explain but keep watch on him. If he is still doing this behavior I would tell him 'goodbye'.

This will be a problem as long as we have internet and chat rooms. Might as well get used to that fact.
