Yes,sure they are great..with or without the dressing..It depends on the dressing you made..It is not supposed to be too sour or sour at all, because you'll add the ingredients and dosage them up to your taste..Very plain and healthy dressing I use frequently consist Vergin Olive Oil,some lemon juice, some salt, condiments by your choice( parsley, dill etc.) and if you like a little garlic..Try it Hope to like you!! Good luck in the diet!!

Salads are delicious. Get some Spring Mix at the supermarket. Put in some sliced red onion, some cherry tomatoes, and some sliced green pepper. You probably don't like the vinegar they use in most salad dressings, so mix up a little ketchup with low fat mayo. It will be the best Thousand Island dressing you ever tasted. I also like the Spicy Ranch made by Hidden Valley. Don't forget to add some good garlic croutons. You can add some cooked white meat chicken or salmon to it, too.
Caesar Salad is so good. Tell them to put the dressing on the side and try a little to see if you like it. If not use the ketchup/mayo combination.
Try chicken salad, tuna salad and even salmon salad for variations. I think you will like eating salads.

Salads can be really good, depending on how they are prepared. If you want to try it, and you also want the growling to stop, add turkey, ham, or chicken, even shrimp. There are some dressings that are sour, but some are not, like ranch. Of course, you are looking at calories there, but if you are not worried about your weight, go for it. I'm not on a diet, and I eat them all of the time.

Yeah of coarse salads taste very good! Go to Fresh Choice and try the salads there! They go really well with croutons too! I love salads! And there are many dressings to choose from so if you think one is too sour for you there could be another that is just right for you!

Salads are sooooo yummy!!! I could eat salad for every meal! Have you tried all varieties of dressings? There must be one out there that wouldn't be too sour. I love ranch..but I don't coat the salad with it...I dip the salad into the dressing. And it's not just the food you eat...it's the AMOUNT of food and the AMOUNT of exercise. Eat less...and take up walking.

Try different things, salads are great! You can add grilled chicken or all sorts of things. Dont go for the boring lettuce, add arugula and snap peas & tangerine slices with a ginger dressing which is low fat & sweet.
Dont look at changing your eating as a diet, find things that fit with you & make it a lifestyle. Goodluck!

I love salads! What kinds of dressings have you tried? Is it possible that a citrus-based dressing would work for you? The key is to put just enough to flavor the salad a bit, not to drown it. Good luck finding something that suits you.

Try eating healthful cereals, like Raisin Bran, and eating fruits. About 3 to 4 nights a week I have Raisin Bran with milk, and either a banana or an apple. I love the taste and you can't get much healthier than that. Plus, I'm as skinny as a rail!

Actually, salad's do taste good, and if you're on a diet, dressing is REALLY bad for you anyway...
you shouldn't be able to only eat salad, that can lead to malnourishment... I would check the legimacy of the diet you're on...

I make a taco salad with chicken that's quite filling.
Half a bag of salad from grocery store
2 tbsp your favorite taco seasoning mix
1/3 cup water
1 small or half of 1 large chicken breast, cooked
Grated cheese to taste
Cube cooked chicken and place in frying pan. Sprinkle taco seasoning on top and pour in water. Cook according to seasoning package directions. Pour chicken and taco seasoning liquid over salad and add grated cheese to taste.
