I'd say its someone's devotion to their passion.

Bible Thumper = Someone who's dedication to the bible is not only apparant, but often forced upon others

Trekkie = Same thing, only Star Trek

There is a very big difference between "teaching" and "preaching". People are often very skeptical and close minded when it comes to ANY religion, this is because people may share a religion but interpret it differently. When you "teach" your discussing different aspects of the religion and making people feel as though their viewpoint is valued because it is very closely guarded. When you "preach", your more or less saying that your views are the right view and theirs are wrong. Remember conflict vs. chemistry! I don't see someone calling you a bible thumper because you asked if they went to church. That's a pretty basic question, however, it may have been the tone in which you were asking. Condescending perhaps?

I'd describe it as someone who uses the Bible - and the Bible only - to justify everything they say, believe and do. Someone who decides whether a person is good or bad based solely on their feelings towards the Bible. Someone who has spent so much time hunched over a Bible that they have gone blind and cannot see anything else.

People who believe in Christianity are not necessarily Bible thumpers. Closed-minded bigots who hate those who do not believe in Christianity are.

You, brother, are not.

Bible thumper denotes that a person of the world is degrading you for being of God. That is okay. Be proud! Never be ashamed of doing the right thing. The person slamming you should be ashamed. However, those who do not know God do not even know they are confused and lost. I always say, "Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they say or do". Maybe at some point you can model good behavior and give testimony to them. It is the responsibility of all Christians to minister and spread the words of Christ! Keep your eyes focused on Christ and do not let those of the world lead you astray! God Speed!

You have too much of a sense of humor to be a bible thumper. Do you get all sweaty and spittle-y when you talk about religion? Do you thump a Bible for emphasis? I didn't think so! But, enjoy the insult! =0)

Why in the world would you ask somebody you did not know well if they went to church?

And if you knew them well enough, you would have not needed to ask that question.

Why not just ask them if they are still a virgin? It is about on the same level of personal choice you know.

So, last time I went to church was around 30 years ago. Last time I read the bible was yesterday, but I don't thump it. And I don't freaking ask anybody if they go to church. It is none of my business. They and God can hash that one out when the time comes.

If you believe the Bible then you are called a Bible thumper. Even worse if you study your Bible and can tell people how to become a Christian. Then you are a religious nut. The most important thing you can ever know is that you have a job to do as a Christian and that is to tell others that the Lord Jesus Christ died for their sins, and that He was buried and took their sins away, and He rose again the third day for their justification. If you are doing that then you can say Praise the Lord for you are doing what He told you to do. 2 Corinthians 5: 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5: 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5: 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

actual alittle off, Christians beleive that issues can come out of no the position, that's technology that teaches that fabric and remember won't be able to be made or created, yet its kind would get replaced with power. So Christians defent introduction through utilising technology own teaachings, there will be no "massive bang" when you consider that there would should be some thing to bang, and some type of power to reason the bang. so if we were made at a huge bang, the position did the fabric for the bang come from, and the position did the flexibility come from, there is no answer, when you consider that remember won't be able to be only made through mans teachings. mans own teachings in technology only about proves that some god had to create it. As for the great bang, imagine about it, with what I suggested, it only isn't available So basicly there is no technology teachings that would even come close to to explaining some thing being made or created, it would have all had to exist in a unmarried kind or remember.
