Convert them all to paganism!

Missionaries are perfect nuisances and leave every place worse than they found it." - Charles Dickens (1812-1870).

" A creed religion like Christianity... is constantly competing against all other religions — and, what is more, doing so on their own home grounds. Its success is measured in terms of the number of converts it makes."

~ Michael Arnheim author of Is Christianity True (Skeptic's Bookshelf Series).

Indrani Rampersad, a woman activist in Trinidad writes:

“Christians see it as their duty to save the soul of the non-believer, who is seen as inferior. Such religions are inherently predatory and destructive of the cultural systems that they encounter in their role as the aggressor.”

"unless you attend my church, accept my God and study my sacred text you cannot be a moral person."

"What could be more bigoted than to claim that you have a monopoly on God?"

(source: Jewish Leader blasts Evangelical "zealots" - yahoonews.com).

"The illogical idea of one single religion for all mankind, one set of dogmas, one cult, one system of ceremonies which all individuals must accept on pain of persecution by the people and punishment by God, is the product of unreason and intolerance. A religion represents the soul of the people, its peculiar spirit, thought, and temperament. It is not a mere theory of the supernatural which we can put on or off as we please. It is an expression of the spiritual experience of the race, a record of its social evolution, an integral element of the society in which it is found [Radhakrishnan 1969:81-82]."

they lose their power, their meaning of existence if they don't have a somekind "purpose" that is commanded from their God to convert us, the lost souls, the evil's followers, freakin atheists. and that means they lose the warranty of "next life in heaven".

(for all non-christians) why is it so hard to undertand some christians ?

You misunderstand. No conversion can take place without the other person's willingness.., unless you're a Middle East Muslim who believes force is quite okay.

You make it sound as though Christian conversion is something forced or maybe we assimilate people like a Star Trek Borg or something.

Some who call themselves Christians I suppose act as if they would like to force conversion - but never met one yet who would force it.

A Christian is obligated to share the message of Salvation through Christ Jesus and warn them of a certain hell awaiting them. This is the whole purpose of Salvation. If there were no bad destination or harm after this life - there would be no need for it.

Non the less we offer the Good News that people do not have to suffer from the penalty of sin. After that - it is the hearer's choice. if you don't want it - we done our job and your fate is in your own hands.

If you don't want to experience God's rich wonders in the life to come - God doesn't want you. Who wants to be with anyone who doesn't love, want or appreciate them? God is no exception. People say God must be cruel. Which is weird because God provides an easy out - they just don't want to give up sinful pleasures to achieve it. They want their sin and rebellion AND the rich things God has prepared.., but it doesn't work that way.

There is coming a day you'll want to listen to this message but we will not be found anywhere. God does not always strive with the hearts of rebellious mankind.

If a non-Christian wants a religious nut of any stripe to leave him alone, all he has to do is tell him or her to get off his property. If he won't leave, have him arrested for trespassing. Even those ultimate pests, the Jehovah's Witnesses will get the message once they've been booked and photographed down at the jailhouse.

As with every major religion part of being a Christian is to try and convert people. Just keep in mind they believe they are saving your soul.

You can never get us to stop trying, because it's an intrinsic part of who we are and a central commandment of our religion. But on the other hand, I assure you that nobody can be converted against his/her will. That's always a free choice you make, and who do you think you are to say that people shouldn't have choices?

If people are willing to listen, Christians should always be willing to share....it is one of the most basic parts of the Christian faith, to share the Gospel with others.

A Christian can't "convert" another individual. What that person ultimately chooses to believe is really their choice.

As long as they believe that their regilion is right and your is a pile of crap, that will never happen.

You could kick them in the ankles and run away, but i don't know if you want to be that drastic.

You can't stop them from trying but you can ignore people who are trying to convert you. If they continue to harass you, you can always get law enforcement involved.
