In the hopes that they may be converted to the Truth.

Our enemies are in a very precarious position. They are fighting against God. Thus, in harmony with Jesus’ command, rather than fear them, we pray for those persecuting us. (Matthew 5:44) We pray that if any are opposing God out of ignorance, as Saul of Tarsus was, Jehovah will graciously open their eyes to the truth. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Saul became the Christian apostle Paul and suffered greatly at the hands of the authorities of his day. Still, he kept reminding fellow believers “to be in subjection and be obedient to governments and authorities as rulers, to be ready for every good work, to speak injuriously of no one [no, not even of their most ardent persecutors], not to be belligerent, to be reasonable, exhibiting all mildness toward all men.” (Titus 3:1, 2,)

Well, simply put. You know the true, and they do not.

If you die, you are in His arm. But they are not.

If you do evil and suffered, that is your 'reward'. But if you do good and suffered, our father in heaven knows. Wow, isn't that great?

Our Lord, on that faithful night suffered. But he make no complaint. Finally he died for our sin on that cross. Do we ever sing that song 'to be like Jesus, to be like Jesus'.

Now, that is why we suffered for the good we have done, and pray for those that wrong us, that they may know God.

Well pal, it is easily said than done. Yes I agree. Thus the Lord gave us the Holy Spirit. He will give you strength.

I know why the bible says that. It's says that because god and jesus wants us to love everyone. Including the deviel! I know it's hard to belive but to get into heaven you must show love to all.

If nothing else, it will drive them crazy. Seriously, we pray for people that they will see God's way and change theirs.
