first of all, i am assuming that you know not to be changing the cat litter while you are pregnant. then, try getting one of those plug in pheromone diffusers that are sold at pet stores. they release calming pheromones in each room there is one plugged in. i have experienced and heard great things about them.

There are many factors here. If it is a young cat , it will most likely take some time to grow out of. If the cat has not been spayed or neutered especially if a male cat i would do so.
One thing this does show with this behavior is that the cat is happy and healthy.
The scratching and grabbing and biting I'm assuming you are speaking of sounds like play time. I would get toys that YOU actually use at a distance with the cat, Get a cat climber and while putting it together attach some of the cats toys, They are very reasonable at Wally's World. Also when your baby gets to the crawling stage the cat has an escape.
If the cat has catnip toys you may consider removing them as for some cats it makes the too hyper and sometimes aggressive.
You may want to consider another cat.
You can clip the tips of your cats claws, be cautious to not quik them. As for the biting if it becomes too aggressive shoo the cat away and tell him NO. Hitting a cat only makes them more angry.

The best way to calm your cat down is to talk to the cat. Some people say a animal dont understand us.Well, that is a lie.You can even have someone cut the cat's claws. You can cut the tip of the claw with a pair of small finger nail clippers. As far as biting, call your local vet or animal shelter and ask them what youcan do to make the cat stop biting.

I have had a ragdoll for 3 years and he definitely goes crazy and runs through the house, making weird noises....we asked the vet about that and she said he was just releasing energy since he cannot run around outside like normal cats do. But my cat only bites and scratches when he wants to play and he has never drew blood....but my Aunt who also has a ragdoll, said that her cat bit her friend and drew blood a few times, but he has only done it to her so we figured he just didn't like her. I really do not know why he would be biting and scratching maybe you should ask the vet. Hope this helps :)

Start holding your cat more. This will calm it down. You should think of declawing it, especially because you're having a baby. Everytime it bites, tap it on the nose. It will get used to not biting.

Usually when you spade or nuture the cat it calms them down, but you do want to be carefull that you dont get scratched when you are pregnant because you can actually get cat scratch fever. Also you may want to look into getting the cat declawed. Providing he is not an outside cat.

First off - is this a recently developing problem? or has your cat been like this since forever?
i think this cat needs to know its routine and its boundaries.
I found when mine were getting very playful and energetic i had to resort to a water spritzer (like the kind you use on house plants) in order to restore a bit of decorum to my household (and on occasion to save my wallpaper and curtains!)
alternatives you could use is to hold your cat nice and firmly so that it cant claw you and keep stroking it under the chin (so it cant bite you) and keep that up for 5 minutes a day
A second thought is - is your cat allergic to something that is creating this behaviour? or the heat is making it do that?
i would recommend that you visit the vet (taking your cat with you of course!) and see if there is anything physical wrong with your moggie also.
