Start with these organizations. If they don't have volunteer spots, they can sure recommend some that do.
By the way, volunteering rocks! Moore and everyone who lives there will thank you for your service. Good job. - Stuart

I am not from Oklahoma, but try these ideas:
1) Check with your local public library. Libraries plan all sorts of activities and need volunteers all the time (especially in summer with kids' programs)
2) Check with the hospitals. Volunteers help with admission, give families information about patients, etc. If you have a children's hospital in your area, volunteers can help by enteraining kids who are undergoing treatments.
3) Check with your local Humane Society- volunteers are needed to help with the animals. It may be a dirty job, but, as they say, "Somebody has to do it."
4) If you are handy with construction tools, try Habitat for Humanity. This is very rewarding and you can see the results of your labors.
5) Nursing homes. Elderly are looking for company. This is very rewarding and challenging.
These are just a few general ideas.
Check your local newspaper. My paper advertises for volunteers on Sundays in the family section.

My kids did volunteer work at day care, nursing homes, retirement centers, and even helped out elderly church members. Volunteering is an excellent way for young people to learn the joy of doing for others, while expecting nothing in return. More teenagers should get involved.

I am not familiar with the area, but there are always places to help out the elderly. There are a lot of lonely older folks just looking for people to talk to one hour a week. You could start by visiting a nursing home and ask them.
