I WONDER ..Why there are a lot of different kinds of church with different kinds of teachings and beliefs???.. why arent u guys united?? Agree in only one teaching...Some says Jesus is THE god, some says he's the son of god, the 2nd god and what ever.. BUT, in ISLAM- They ALL united and believe and know that Allah s.w.t is the Only ONE that they must worshipped and obeyed to.

most of the people above giving example of sunni and shia sects in islam. Thats true that there are sects in islam as well. but all these sects have same basics. i.e. believe in Allah, Believe in Muhammad pbuh to be the last and final prophet, charity, praying, hajj, etc. these are sects based on smaller differences
on the contrary, the sects of christianity is like a different religion. some beleive in trinity, some belive Jesus is son of God , not God. Some even say that Jesus is the messenger only, like what islam says.
Some say holy spirit is God, some say holy spirit is not God.
etc..
They all claim that they have holy sprit and they all are going in different directions. Now how are we going to arrive the truth unless we use our God given intelligence. For example, one Christian says that there is trinity in the bible, the other Christians comes and says that there is no trinity in the bible. And they both claim to have the holy spirit with them. WHO HAS GOT THE SPIRIT?

Only Catholics pray to anyone other then God in the Christian Religion. Yes we PRAY TO GOD, we do it in Jesus' name. The Catholics screwed up the religion so bad that others are trying to figure it out and break off. As to the one who said about being a protestant there are many different denominations of that. Catholics and Protestants are the two main divisions, as Protestant was a PROTEST of the Catholic Church. Angelican, the Church of England, was orginally a Catholic Church basically but the King was the Pope. That was because the Pope wouldn't give Henry VIII a divorce. Anyway I grew up going to the Church of Christ, which is Non-Denominational. We went by the Bible. You also have the Mormons who thought that they had a prophet. Mostly the different beliefs are simple one or two things where they see different. At least we don't go kill each other because we disagree.
Mamma sorry you were brainwashed by the Catholic Church BUT Christ didn't start it. Some claim Peter started it but that still wouldn't be Christ himself. Christ didn't start any Church.

There is no religion in this world where all its followers are united. Someones religion isn't suppose to be what some group at a church tells them it's suppose to be. Someones beliefs should not be based on how well someone can place the propaganda on the table. Islam has all the flaws of every world religion and as long as something touches human hands it will be flawed. If you are Muslim, then be true to yourself and be Muslim. If you feel good praying to Jesus, by all means...and that goes for everything. God could have easily created robots WITHOUT free will if he wanted everyone to be/do/think/act the same way.

I'm hardly a religious advocate, but this question is really unfair. First of all, why do you care? You are entitled to your beliefs, so let others have theirs. When you attack the religious beliefs of others, you are doing the same thing as those rabid fundamentalists you rightfully despise. Secondly, as other respondants have noted, every religion has sects and divisions. Not even atheism is immune to divisiveness. Some atheists, for instance, think life began on earth when proteins in the water were exposed to atmospheric electricity (lightning), thus turning them into RNA, which can then develop into DNA. (All of this has been done in test tubes). Others believe that DNA came to this planet in the form of frozen spores that had been drifting through space for eons. So, you see, divisiveness is everywhere. So leave the Christians alone. At least they believe in something,

Hello,
Yes, I do think that Christians think about their faith to this depth and deeper. What defines Christianity by most people's standards and most importantly the Bible is a belief that the only way to salvation(eternal life with God in heaven rescued from eternal damnation) is Jesus. There are lots of different understandings about how we ought to apply the Bible to our lives and to our churches but in the end nothing is more important than the person of Jesus. All those who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior are in the family. Just like every family, there are some members who have different preferences and tastes and desires but in the end we are all family and will all be united with the Lord one day.
May God bless you as your read this and may you find that the answer is JESUS.

There came a lot of Christian sect because Christians are free people and free people think freely and when they think not all of their beliefs would reconcile except that all Christians believe that there is one God with three divine person we call Trinity that you will always find hard to understand.
Muslims believe in one God and no one is arguing with that but if you have freedom your faith will be tested in fire and the truth will really come out but unfortunately, you are not as free as Christians, that's why you cannot accept such free method of thinking and would usually claim that Christians don't think but in reality, it is you who do not think. I hope that you won't take this against me but I personally feel it's like traveling a straight path at the command of a rein.
God gave people freedom because Freedom is the only way where truth will always prevail and not by convincing people about the truth that doesn't want to reveal it's real self and tries to hide behind the book that many has not even opened. But the Bible, you can always scrutinize it anytime you like. Christians are not used to keeping secrets when it comes to their religion. But how can people of the world understand arabic which is the original text of the Qur'an? So, if people do not actually understand, how can reason and righteousness prevail?
Freedom is the test of fire and if Islam will be tested in the fire of freedom, I am sorry to tell you that Islam will not survive. Are you ready for this? That's why I believe Islam has to be too strict, discreet and intolerantly covert using fear as a tool to disway their followers from leaving. While Christianity is the opposite and Christianity has prevailed every test, you name it, not even the challenge of Satan can prevail. A true Christian cannot have his mind twisted for it is only the weak who gets lost and get convinced by way of their gullible minds. Have you also ever thought of this?
Christian faith did not come from one man. But in one man you follow blindly and claim that it came from God and when someone answers in a firm way you always say that Islam is being bashed but I will not argue with you and I am just answering your question. Peace.

I'm sorry - but you are mistaken. There are different sects of Islam and all have different views of the same areas of the Quran and the Hadiths.
If Muslims were all united then why are there terrorist Muslims and peaceful Muslims? Why do the different sects of Muslims disagree on the Mahdi (what he looks like, where he comes from, and so on).
No - Muslims are not united and of one mind. HOWEVER - The Middle East Muslims agree on killing Jews, destroying Israel and making Americans dead.
I could sit here all day and show more evidence that Muslims are divided.., but I think I proved my point.

1st John 2:22 DOES NOT state that Islam is the anti-christ. It states that anyone who denies the son is the anti-christ but context please and it certainly does not point to any one denomination.
I work with a girl who is Muslim and true Islam preaches love, caring etc the same as CHristianity. The difference is the same as Jewish where they believe in God but they do not believe that Jesus was the messiah. They do however pray to God but they believe they can do so without the intervention of Jesus.
Lets not use this site to promote hatred against any religion.

The reason for so many supposedly Christian religions is that Catholicism perverted Christianity to such an extreme that people broke away seeking to return to truth. These churches are at various stages of regaining that truth.
1 John 2:22 points out that Islam is anti-Christ, and that it is impossible for Allah to be God. Islam too is fragmented into different sects, but in their case, they have no truth of their own to pervert. Islam itself is a perversion of Judaism as Catholicism is a perversion of Christianity.

Muslims aren't united. You have Sunnis and Shi'ites, with a number of clashes between these sects. And different imams and clerics have radically different interpretations of Islam. Iran's president is a member of a messaniac Islamic cult, for instance. And the Taliban represents a different interpretation of Islam.
It is a lie to say Islam is united.
