I remember watching David Reid continue to fight matches after suffering a detatched retina against Trinidad. He won 3 out of 4 fights with I believe a glass eye. Wether it was a good idea or not I don't know but he was still a good boxer. Sometimes instincts carry you through I think. I've also watched both of Arturo Ghatti's eyes swell shut and the doctor and corner only giving him one more round......THUNDER......Of course true to form he somehow knocked the other guy out cold.

If someone has skills to do something else or box with poor eye sight I'd definitely recommend doing whatever else they are skilled in though.

Do you think after getting hit in the head so many times that boxers have good visions?
