None... no one worships a statue at Church. The closest thing to idol worship is going to a concert and watching people play intruments and going crazy for them clapping wildly and screaming. Have you every seen anyone clapping for a statue? The person that prays before one knows the statue is just a statue. He doesn't believe the statue is going to do anything but believes that the entity the statue represents will hear him or her.
Yeah I know you're knocking the Catholics. Calvin even went as far as going into the churches and pulling them down. Catholics don't worship statues or Mary. It would be heresy.

Whatever it is that you praise and pray to, unless it's God, would be considered an idol. I don't imagine people usually use a pic of their family in prayer but people certainly do use statues in worship, so I'd say the statue of Jesus in church could certainly be considered an idol

An idol is only an idol in you are worshiping that figure...EG: the picture, or the statute. A statue of Jesus represents a figure to remind us of what Christ did for us. It's only an idol if you pray to the actual statue and not to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Both, if you worship them before giving honor to God Himself.
There are symbols of faith all around but if you bow your heart to a statue even if it's Christ, but do not bow to the Lord above then it's still an idol.

Neither one if you don't worship them.
But to some the T.V., the computer, the Super Bowl, and anything you would rather spend time with other than god are idols.
